National Arboretum
The National Arboretum is a fantastic location for capturing family photos in the midst of magnificent forests and gardens. Take a stroll through the forests, enjoy the stunning views of the city, and capture some photos with your loved ones. You can also consider the Cork Oak Forest, or the Himalayan Cedar Forest when booking your shoot.
Tharwa Nature Reserve
If you’re looking for a more rugged and outdoorsy location for your family photos, the Tharwa Nature Reserve is a fantastic option. Surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty, this reserve offers various walking trails, stunning views of the Murrumbidgee River, and the changing seasons of the poplar trees, which provide an excellent backdrop for unique and rustic family photos.
Lennox Gardens
Located on the southern shore of Lake Burley Griffin, Lennox Gardens offers breathtaking scenery for family photos with its beautiful gardens and serene lake. The park also features beautiful flowers, tall trees, and green grassy lawns that combine to create a beautiful environment for a family photoshoot. As an added bonus, there is a nearby playground for kids to play in, making it an excellent location for families with young children.
Queanbeyan Nature Reserve
Just across the border in New South Wales, Queanbeyan Nature Reserve is a beautiful location for family photos. With the mountain ranges in the background and sweeping lands, there is no shortage of picturesque spots to snap a few shots.
Old Parliament House Rose Gardens
This stunning garden offers a wide variety of roses in full bloom during the summer months, as well as other flowers and shrubs. You can take advantage of the beautiful walkways and historic architecture of the Old Parliament House, which provides a perfect romantic atmosphere for your family photos.
